Have some furniture to donate?


We can collect it for FREE!

 

The best way to donate to Happytat is by following the steps below:

 

1. Take photos of the item(s), including close-ups of any damage or marks.
 

2. Email the photos to us at us@happytat.org or come into the shop and show a member of our team.

 

3. Wait for a response - if your donation is accepted and you need us to collect it, we will send you a form to fill out within 7 days, then we can arrange a collection slot. 

 

 

Please note: All sofas and mattresses MUST have fire labels attached in order to comply with the 1988 fire regulations. 
 

Unfortunately we cannot accept any donations without seeing photos or the item in person first.

 

 

Quality of Donations

Please bear in mind that all donations will be used to re-sell in the shop, therefore must be of a high quality in order to be accepted.
In the best interests of the charities we support and our customers, we ask that any furniture donations meet the following standards: 

 

  • Sofas must have no rips or tears in upholstery
     
  • Mattresses must have no stains or tears
     
  • All pieces and screws must be included with beds and cabinates etc.
     
  • All soft furnishings MUST have fire labels attached
     
  • Fabric items must have minimal wear/fading 

 

Financial Support

The most direct way of supporting us is by making a financial donation. We carefully monitor all of our operations to make sure that the highest proportion possible of all donations go straight to our projects and their beneficiaries.
